Welcome to my freelance illustration website. I am a freelance illustrator based in the UK, but have worked for clients on both sides of the atlantic ocean. My background is one of graphic design and pre-press work, of which I have over ten years experience. This is a benefit when it comes to preparing digital files, and for customers who are looking for a complete illustration/design solution. Also, in book design and layout. Although i have been an artist for many years now, it is only in the last few years in which I have turned to illustration, which I now see as my ultimate career.

Working on many different kinds of projects, such as: Books covers, CD covers, posters, children's books, magazine covers, logos, giftware, editorial work, etc. I am happy working either from a brief and art direction, or on my own projects.
When undertaking a new project, the first step after agreeing on terms, is always first roughs. These are basic ideas and concepts. Then depending on the type of work, I would work up a rough into a more finalised version. Upon approval of the roughs, I move on to the final artwork. Also, I never miss deadlines, even if it means working through the night (which has been known to happen!).
I work using mixed media or maybe even one medium, depending on the type of imagery required. This usually consists of drawing, painting, printmaking, photography digital imagery/trickery and found objects, quite often all in the same image.
I also love using hand rendered/drawn text. Although digital text can work too.
